CELEBRITIES RESPOND AFTER BEING NAMED IN THE EPSTEIN FILES
The powerful are speaking. The files are speaking louder.
Several public figures issued statements after their names appeared in investigative records tied to Jeffrey Epstein.
Epstein was arrested in July 2019 on federal charges including sex trafficking and conspiracy involving minors. He pleaded not guilty. Before the case proceeded to trial, he died in a New York jail. His death was officially ruled a suicide. His prosecution ended there — the public reckoning did not.
In 2026, the U.S. Department of Justice released multiple batches of investigative records commonly referred to as the “Epstein Files.” The documents include emails, internal correspondence, scheduling logs, and flight information.
Among the names appearing in various sections are Prince Andrew, J.K. Rowling, Bill Gates, Whoopi Goldberg, Naomi Campbell, Tony Hawk, Jon Stewart, Joy Behar, and others.
Below is what several celebrities have said after their names surfaced.
Bill Gates

BillGates’ name appears in correspondence included in the 2026 document release, including an unsent email attributed to Epstein that contains allegations Gates has denied.
According to the records, the unsent message included claims that Gates had sexual relations with two “Russian girls” and contracted a sexually transmitted infection.
Gates publicly denied those claims.
“Apparently, Jeffrey wrote an email to himself. That message was never sent,” Gates said in an interview with 9 News Australia. “The email is false. I don’t know what his thinking was there. Was he trying to attack me in some way?”
Gates added, “Every minute I spent with him, I regret, and I apologize that I did that.”
He also stated that he never traveled to Epstein’s island.
“I never went to the island, I never met any women,” he said. “As more information comes out, it will be clearer that, although that association was a mistake, it had nothing to do with that kind of behavior.”
Elon Musk
Elon Musk’s name appeared in email correspondence included in the Epstein Files, prompting renewed public attention after the Department of Justice document releases.
Responding publicly, Musk denied any substantive relationship with Epstein and rejected suggestions of involvement.
“I never visited Epstein’s island,” Musk stated in response to resurfaced claims. “He invited me many times. I declined.”
Musk has also previously written on social media: “I don’t know Jeffrey Epstein. I turned down invitations.”
He emphasized that appearing in communications does not equate to participation in criminal activity and called for full transparency regarding all released records.
Princess Beatrice & Princess Eugenie
Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s names resurfaced in media discussion surrounding renewed attention to Epstein-related materials, largely due to their father’s previously documented association with Epstein.
Neither princess has been accused of criminal conduct in connection to the files.
While they have not issued direct statements about the recent document batches, prior reporting has described the ongoing scrutiny as personally difficult for the sisters.
A source close to the family previously stated: “They are not involved in any wrongdoing and have never been accused of any.”
Public coverage surrounding their names has centered on reputational impact tied to family association rather than allegations directed at them individually.
Melinda French Gates
Melinda French Gates has addressed the broader impact of Epstein’s conduct in interviews following earlier public reporting.
While not accused of misconduct, her name has appeared in coverage connected to Bill Gates’ prior meetings with Epstein.
In a televised interview, she described Epstein as “evil personified.”
She has also stated that she raised concerns about Epstein after meeting him, saying: “I did not like that he had meetings with Jeffrey Epstein.”
French Gates has publicly emphasized the importance of accountability and survivor advocacy in light of the broader revelations surrounding Epstein’s criminal enterprise.
Naomi Campbell
NaomiCampbell’s name appears in emails, calendar entries, and administrative documents attributed to Epstein’s assistants.
Through her attorney, she issued a formal denial of any awareness of criminal conduct.
“Prior to Epstein’s 2019 arrest, my client had no knowledge of his criminal behavior,” her lawyer said in a public statement. “Had she ever witnessed or suspected exploitation, she would have acted immediately.”
Campbell has stated she was unaware of any illegal activity.
Tony Hawk
Tony Hawk’s name appeared in a document referencing a wedding allegedly connected to Epstein’s island. Hawk publicly clarified the matter.
“One of the guests at my 2006 wedding in Fiji licensed photos to Getty Images,” Hawk explained. “That photographer’s name is Mark Epstein — no relation to Jeffrey Epstein, whom I never met and whose island I never visited. This is verifiable.”
Hawk said he has never traveled to Epstein’s island and never met him.
Jon Stewart
JonStewart addressed his appearance in email correspondence during a February 2026 episode of The Daily Show.
“To get ahead of it — yes, I’m in the files,” Stewart said. “We all searched our names, didn’t we?”
He then quoted from an email exchange in which Epstein discussed a potential television project: “Make a true biographical experience with his stand-up as the capper. Somebody like Jon Stewart could host or narrate.”
“Somebody like Jon Stewart?” Stewart joked. “Or Jon Stewart? Am I booked or auditioning?”
Whoopi Goldberg

During a February 2026 broadcast of The View, Whoopi Goldberg responded to her inclusion in travel-related correspondence contained in the released materials.
“In the name of transparency, yes — my name is in the files,” she said. “And what does it say? It says, ‘Whoopi needs a plane to get to Monaco. John Lennon’s charity is paying for it.’ It should say Julian’s Charity. They didn’t want to charter, so they were reaching out to private aircraft owners. That’s the information that was being passed along — asking if I would offer my G2.”
Goldberg stated she did not have a personal relationship with Epstein.
“I wasn’t his girlfriend. I wasn’t his friend,” she said. “I’m addressing it because people are dragging my name into something I was not part of.”
She also said she never flew on Epstein’s aircraft due to her fear of flying.
Donald Trump

Donald Trump’s name appears multiple times in the released Epstein records, including in flight logs, contact books, and witness testimony connected to Epstein’s social network.
Trump has previously acknowledged that he knew Epstein socially in the 1990s and early 2000s. In a 2002 interview with New York Magazine, Trump described Epstein as a “terrific guy” and noted that Epstein “likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side.” Trump later stated that he ended the relationship before Epstein’s legal troubles became public.
Following renewed scrutiny tied to the document releases, Trump has denied any wrongdoing and has stated that he had no knowledge of Epstein’s criminal conduct. He has repeatedly said he was not involved in Epstein’s trafficking activities and has characterized his past association as limited to social settings in Palm Beach and New York.
Public records confirm that Epstein and Trump moved in overlapping social circles during that period, including events at Mar-a-Lago and other high-profile gatherings. The extent and nature of their relationship continue to be examined as additional documents are released.
CONTEXT
The release of the Epstein Files has intensified scrutiny of elite networks, private access, and institutional structures that enabled Epstein to cultivate relationships across finance, politics, philanthropy, academia, and celebrity circles.
When high-profile names appear in investigative records tied to sex trafficking, the public focus shifts from personality to power.
Sex trafficking is not scandal culture — it is a criminal enterprise built on exploitation, coercion, and systemic protection.
THE PATTERN
The pattern emerging from these document releases is not isolated celebrity mentions.
It is network exposure.
Not disconnected individuals — but overlapping access.
A trafficking operation of this scale does not persist without insulation. It requires silence, normalization, and power protecting itself.
The unresolved issue is structural protection at the top. When influence networks intersect with criminal conduct, public trust erodes unless full transparency reaches every level — wherever the evidence leads.
Partial disclosure is not accountability. It is delay.
Transparency only matters if it continues.
Independent reporting only survives if the public demands it.
